Original Work and Commissions

I offer unique and expressive paintings and graphic prints. Each work is original and influenced by Mid Century and contemporary styles. Contact me for commissions.

Payment plans are available on all paintings. My goal is to make the work as affordable as possible for you. After all, everyone should be able to afford the art they love. Contact me to figure out a plan that works for you.

Thank you for your interest in a commission. Please answer the following questions in one email to me at cory@modernsouthstudio.com

  • What size/type of piece would you like?

  • What orientation (landscape, portrait or square)?

  • Please send 1-3 photos of the colors you are
    interested in. (Please send fabric samples, images of the room or other pieces you like. You can also send me a Pinterest board)

  • Please attach 1-3 images of work I have already done that are your favorites.

  • Any other notes or specifications you think I should know.

Please let me know any other concerns or questions you may have. I will send you photos of the work as soon as I can. I want you to love it and we will work together to get it there.

Timeline: Commissions are completed within 6 - 8 weeks of deposit depending on my schedule. Earlier delivery times are sometimes possible but not guaranteed.

Commissioned paintings are based on the request. Please contact me for a custom quote.

Note: I cannot promise that my work will be exactly like the pieces I have previously created. This is due to the nature of abstract painting and my evolving style. However, my goal is to make a piece you love and I will do my best!

The Fine Print

Invitation proofing on all in stock designs occurs 24-48 hours after the order is placed. Printing of invitations takes 2-3 business days. Custom design orders are proofed and shipped accordingly. Local pick up and shipping are both available.

Prints are processed within 24-48 hours of ordering. If color or content changes require approval by the buyer then the proof will be sent within 24-48 hours of ordering and then printed and processed within 24-48 hours of artwork approval.

Commissions take 3-6 weeks for delivery depending on my schedule.

Custom Orders: I require a 50% non-refundable deposit on all custom orders. Custom work may not be canceled or refunded after final approval. Once you have approved, I cannot accept returns due to any errors or oversights. By approving your final proof you accept responsibility for the information and layout as shown. If changes are requested after final approval, we will send you a new estimate for the revisions.

Please note that colors on screen may vary from actual products.

Commissions: All payments on commissions are non-refundable. A 50% deposit is required on all commissions. Payment plans are available on commissions, however the commission will not begin until the final payment. 2 revisions, per commission are allowed without extra fees prior to delivery. Revisions are not permitted after final possession of artwork unless otherwise discussed prior to the final acquisition of the artwork within the space.

All items are shipped UPS or First Class US Postal Service. Orders are processed, packed and shipped within 7-10 business days depending on my schedule, unless otherwise requested by the buyer. Faster shipping is available, please ask. All shipping fees are paid by the buyer.

Local pick up is always available. Delivery is available if within a reasonable distance to my studio.

Until full payment has been made, we will retain ownership of all original artwork and designs. I retain the right to use the completed project and any preliminary designs for the purpose of design competitions, future publications on design, educational purposes, marketing materials, and portfolio. I love what I do and want to be able share it.

Your privacy is important to me. I do not share any of your information with outside parties. The information that I collect from you will only be used to contact you and complete your order.

All of the designs on my website are protected by a copyright. If you need a photo of work or information on this site, please ask and I will be able to provide it for you.

I currently accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Personal Check, Visa,  Mastercard, Discover and American Express. If you prefer to pay using an alternate payment method, please feel free to contact me to discuss other options. Payment plans are available.
